Ardbeg 19 Year Old Traigh Bhan Batch 3 is the third release in the distillery's highly collectible annual series, inspired by Traigh Bhan (tri-van), Islay's famous "Singing Sands" beach. Matured for 19 years in a combination of American oak bourbon casks and a slightly higher proportion of Oloroso sherry casks, this limited edition offers an even richer interpretation of Ardbeg's celebrated peated style. Bottled at 46.2% ABV, it combines remarkable maturity with the distillery's unmistakable coastal character.
The higher sherry cask influence brings added richness, complementing aromas of sweet smoke, herbal menthol, sea spray, and gentle oak. The palate delivers waves of peat smoke, dark fruit, warming spice, aniseed, and maritime salinity, balanced by hints of rich fudge and savoury oak before a long, smoky finish.
Released in limited batches each year, Traigh Bhan has become one of Ardbeg's most sought-after modern expressions, offering a beautifully balanced combination of mature peat, sherry richness, and coastal complexity.
