Wolfburn Aurora is a rich and approachable Highland single malt crafted from spirit matured in a carefully balanced combination of casks. Released in late 2016, the whisky was aged in second-fill quarter casks (40%), first-fill ex-bourbon barrels (40%), and first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads (20%), creating a beautifully layered profile.
Produced using Wolfburn’s traditional methods of long fermentation and slow, gentle distillation, the spirit is matured on-site in the distillery’s warehouses before the casks are expertly married. The result is an exceptionally smooth and well-balanced dram with a subtle sherried character.
