Distilled in 2013, this 8-year-old Teaninich was independently bottled by Càrn Mòr as part of the Strictly Limited range from Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. Matured in red wine casks before being bottled in 2021, this distinctive Highland single malt showcases an intriguing combination of Teaninich's bright spirit and the vibrant fruit influence of the wine cask. A total of 1,455 bottles were produced.
The red wine cask maturation adds generous layers of ripe berries and dark fruits to the whisky, complementing Teaninich's fresh orchard fruit character. Notes of raspberry, blackcurrant, vanilla, soft oak, and gentle spice are balanced by hints of honey and malt, leading to a smooth, fruity finish with lingering sweetness and subtle tannins.
