Macallan Edition No.6

The sixth and final release in The Macallan's celebrated Edition Series, Macallan Edition No. 6 is a distinctive 2020 limited edition inspired by the natural beauty of The Macallan Estate and the legendary River Spey. Created by Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, this expression celebrates the relationship between the distillery, its surrounding landscape and the river that has long been an important part of its heritage.

Matured in a carefully selected combination of five American and European oak cask types, Edition No. 6 offers a rich and complex character with aromas of fresh fruit, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, toffee and vanilla. The palate reveals layers of ripe plum, sweet orange, warming cinnamon and balanced oak, leading to a long, rewarding finish of fresh fruit, gentle spice, creamy chocolate and toasted oats.

Bottled at 48.6% ABV, this discontinued release marks the conclusion of The Macallan's acclaimed six-part Edition Series, giving it particular significance for collectors seeking to complete the collection. The release also celebrates The Macallan's work with the Atlantic Salmon Trust to raise awareness of wild Atlantic salmon conservation, adding a distinctive environmental and heritage story to the final chapter of the series.
