Kura The Whisky - Rum Cask Finish

Established in 1961, Japan’s Helios Distillery has long been recognised for its rums and awamori, a traditional rice spirit produced exclusively in Okinawa. More recently, its whiskies have stepped into the spotlight. This release is a variation of Kura The Whisky blended malt, finished in casks that previously held rum. On the nose, expect notes of toasted oak, moss, creamy lemon and soft malt, followed by a sweet, rounded palate of brown sugar and charred oak, clearly shaped by its time in rum-seasoned barrels.
