This single malt from White Oak Distillery spent 10 years in a sherry cask, producing abundant dried fruits, sherry wine and winter spices. Think of raisins and plums, then of richness and spices. Intense and unique, and some of the best things made by Akashi.
Nose: Cracked pepper, Christmas cake, creamed corn, black currants, balsamic.
Palate: A richness that belies its young age. Sweetened tea, nutmeg, cocoa, creamed sherry and tangy orange.
Finish: Creamed sherry, peppermint, tobacco, raisins and the tangy orange.
