A 2004 vintage Caol Ila bottled in 2018 by G&M, was initially aged in first-fill bourbon and refill American oak casks, before being moved over to Hermitage wine casks for a three-year-long finishing period. Nose: Complex and fruity: light peat smoke, white chocolate and strawberry, followed by a touch of crushed walnut. Palate: Creamy, hints of liquorice and warming pepper transform into spicy oak notes. Finish: Long, forest fruits mature into lingering peat smoke infused with charred oak and bonfire embers.
