A stunning single malt GlenDronach matured for an incredible 27 years in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry Puncheon. This 27-year-old single cask expression comes from Batch 16 of The GlenDronach Cask Release and is limited to just 632 bottles. All expressions in this batch are between 11 and 28 years old and their distillation dates range from 1989 to 2006. All of them were specifically chosen by Rachel Barrie, Glendronach’s Master Blender Nose: An old chestnut cabinet opens to the scent of sandalwood and beeswax. On following the scent deeper, discover date oil and spiced bramble pie on an earthy forest floor. Palate: Orange-laced mocha, spiced mince pies and dark bramble jam carried on a bed of leather-velvet, leaving date oil and prunes into the rich and unctuous long-lasting finish.
